PBBM unlocking the First ever Anti-Air Warfare Capabilities of Philippine Navy

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. witnesses the Philippine Navy (PN) unlocking its first-ever anti-air warfare capabilities with the test firing of the surface-to-air missile (SAM) fitted on guided missile frigate BRP Antonio Luna (FF151) during a live demonstration off the coast of San Antonio, Zambales on May 19, 2023.

Forming part of the major events in commemorating the PN’s 125th anniversary later this month, the Commander-in-Chief observes the capability demonstration aboard the viewing ship BRP Davao Del Sur (LD602).

In the course of the activity, the Mistral 3 SAM hits and destroys a drone as a mock target based on a scenario where the FF151 detects an unmanned aerial hostile. The frigate’s countermeasure, the Bullfighter Chaff Decoy — a 130-millimeter super-rapid-booming offboard countermeasure (SRBOC) designed to defeat radio frequency and infrared-guided missiles — is also put on display during the sequence.

The Mistral 3 SAM has a 90-millimiter high-explosive warhead, a range of more than 3 nautical miles and speed of 2.7 Mach. It is among the primary weapons of the Jose Rizal-Class (BRP Jose Rizal or the FF150) multi-mission capable frigates that bolster their defensive capabilities against aerial hostiles.

The AW159 anti-submarine warfare naval helicopter is also being showcased through the utilization of its Compact-FLASH dipping sonar and the BlueShark torpedo to detect, locate and neutralize stealthy submarine.

The PN considers the event a landmark activity as it represents a great stride in its resolve to better protect the Philippines and secure the Filipino people.

Former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte in his recent appearance on SMNI, talked about President BongBong Marcos International Trips.

I can understand the President. He is being criticized by going in and out [of the country]. You know he is a new President he has to introduce himself to the entire world. Just to maintain the prestige of the country and that is very important. And now he is flying to Indonesia to attend the ASEAN meeting it is not only his desire, it is his duty to attend that ASEAN meeting because it is a meeting of ASEAN countries and there are so many things that are very crucial which are being discussed there in that meeting in the following days.

Kung yan lang ang ano... wag niyong tingnan yan as a, the way he is travelling. You know, it is a very tiring job actually for his age, my age pupunta ng Amerika for 13 [or] 12 hours di ko na kaya. That is the reason why ayoko na. I do not think that I'll be able to, well, hindi rin naman ako pumunta ng Amerika noong Presidente ako. But the, noong naging Presidente ako, I went almost... Russia at talagang nakakapagod.

Even during the entire trip, matulog ka, ang problema sa eroplano, pag baba mo, matamlay ang katawan mo.

So, I understand the [President]. Hindi yan pasyal kay Marcos, kay President Marcos. As I have said it is not only his desire, it is his duty to be present in that meeting. It is not a matter of flying here and there. It is a matter of fulfilling the obligation of the Republic as President. Yan ang masasabi ko. This is not, you know, ordinately, hindi ko binaback-upan ang Presidente. Tinitingnan ko lang kung ano ang tama o mali. Tama yung ginagawa niya. There is nothing I can say about it. Lalo na magcriticize for just opening your mouth for the sake of opening your mouth, and just, maybe blurt things para lang makasalita ka to catch the attention of the public.

We can recall President BongBong Marcos boldly mentioned on his answers to a few media interviews in the past, that all Asean Leaders already agreed that no country outside south-east asia, should decide on issues involving the region.

✅️ PBBM meets US VP Kamala Harris

Ipinagtibay ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. at US Vice President Kamala Harris ang pagtutulungan ng Pilipinas at Amerika sa larangan ng digital inclusion at clean energy economy sa isang pulong.

Tumanggap ng papuri si PBBM mula kay VP Harris para sa kanyang pagpapahalaga sa seguridad at sama-samang pag-unlad ng mga bansa.

Kasama rin sa naging talakayan sa pagitan ng dalawang lider ay ang pagsiguro ng kapayapaan sa West Philippine Sea.

From Malacañang to White House : PBBM meets POTUS for the 2nd Time in Washington DC

Nagkita muli sa ikalawang pagkakataon ang dalawang Chief Excutive ng dalawang bansa, Pangulong Ferdinand BongBong Marcos Jr. at ang Presidente ng Estados Unidos na si Joseph Joe Biden.

Matatandaan na una silang nagkita noong pumunta si PBBM sa New York para makipagpulong sa Business Sector ng nasabing bansa.

Ayon sa Tweet ng POTUS, inaasahan na ang partnership na ito with Philippines ay magdudulot ng pag strengthen ng ekonomiya ng dalawang bansa, paglaban sa Climate Change at pagbuo ng mas magandang kinabukasan para sa mga susunod na henerasyon.

Kasama ni PBBM ang kanyang mga delegado kabilang ang First Lady Lisa A. Marcos, Congressman Sandro Marcos at Congressman Martin Romualdez.
